Soap-a-rama

Another text-light, pic-heavy post of the soaps I made a few weeks ago.

They all turned out lovely in the end, and the cranberry-fig one only ran into the sandalwood one a little, so most of the bars were fine.

I LOVE this (new) recipe! Lots of yummy shea butter -- feels great.

I should have brushed the soap crumbs away before I snapped the pics...

Your soap is beautiful!

I enjoy making soap too...I have dabbled with it for the past 10 years, though I need to get some labels...did you design yours yourself-? I really like them.

Thanks Kimmie!

My labels are very simple -- I just cut some brown wrapping paper from Ikea into A4 size, and ran it straight through the printer (had to tape it onto some printer paper first because it tended to curl).

To "design" the labels, I just made up a table in MS Word to suit the dimensions of the bars -- each row was one band-type label. Name of soap in the middle, and ingredients on the side (which wrapped around to the back of the soap).

Thanks so much for sharing this...it looks very professional!

I am not sure what A4 size is- assuming it is normal paper size?

You are a genious ;-)
